Ingredients

  • 25 g (3 tbsp) cornstarch
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 480 ml (2 cups) whole milk
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 30 g (2 tbsp) unsalted butter
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) vanilla extract

For the Whipped Cream Topping

  • 240 ml (1 cup) heavy cream
  • 15 g (1 tbsp) powdered sugar
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) vanilla extract
