Directions
- Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and line an 8×8 inch (20×20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
- Stir in the oats and chocolate chips until evenly combined.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan. Press lightly to ensure an even layer.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
- Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.
