Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, and sugar. Mix well.
  2. Gradually add water and stir with a wooden spoon until fully absorbed.
  3. Add salt and olive oil, kneading until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rise at room temperature for 1 hour.
  5. Perform a series of gentle folds to the dough, then let it rise for another hour.
  6. Move the dough onto a floured surface, roll it slightly, and divide into two rectangular portions.
  7. Let the dough rest and rise for 1 more hour.
  8. Press down and roll out each portion using your fingers for a light, airy texture.
  9. Transfer the dough onto a baking sheet and season with a mixture of tomato, salt, oregano, and olive oil.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 250°C (480°F) for 5–6 minutes.
  11. Remove from oven, add additional toppings of your choice, and drizzle with olive oil if desired.
  12. Return to the oven and bake for another 5 minutes until the crust is golden and toppings are cooked.
