Hennessy Honey Sticky Flats with Mac & Steamed Broccoli

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat chicken flats dry with paper towels. Toss with olive oil, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
  2. Arrange chicken flats on a lined baking tray in a single layer. Bake for 30–35 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and cooked through.
  3. While the chicken bakes, prepare the Hennessy honey sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, Hennessy, soy sauce, ketchup, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Toss the baked chicken flats in the Hennessy honey sauce to coat evenly. Return to the oven for an additional 5–7 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
  5. For the mac and cheese, cook macaroni according to package instructions. In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, whisk in flour, and cook for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in milk and bring to a simmer. Add shredded cheese and stir until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Mix in cooked macaroni.
  6. Steam broccoli florets in a steamer basket over boiling water for 4–5 minutes until bright green and tender. Season lightly with salt.
  7. Plate the Hennessy honey sticky flats with a serving of creamy mac and steamed broccoli. Drizzle any extra sauce over the chicken for extra flavor.
