Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until fully melted and smooth. Stir in Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Continue to simmer for another 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 4: Finish & Serve
Remove from heat and, if desired, add a splash of lemon juice or sprinkle with fresh herbs. Drizzle over your favorite dishes or serve on the side for dipping.
