Green Chile Cheeseburger

Directions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In a large bowl, gently combine the ground sirloin and ground chuck. Form into 6 patties, about 4 inches (10 cm) wide. Sprinkle both sides of each patty with the prepared seasoning mixture.
  4. Grill the patties for 3 minutes on one side. Flip the burgers over and top each with a slice of cheese. Cover and cook for an additional 3 minutes, or until the patties reach your desired doneness and the cheese has melted.
  5. Place 2 tablespoons of diced green chiles on top of each cheeseburger (add more for extra heat if desired).
  6. Serve immediately on toasted hamburger buns.
