Directions
- Prepare the Ingredients: Wash and cut cauliflower into bite-sized florets. Clean and slice mushrooms. Mince the garlic.
- Cook the Cauliflower: Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add cauliflower, season with half the salt and pepper, and sauté 5–7 minutes until tender and lightly browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Cook the Mushrooms: In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil. Cook sliced mushrooms 5–6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they release moisture and turn golden brown.
- Add the Garlic: Push mushrooms to the side, add minced garlic, and sauté 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Mix into mushrooms.
- Combine and Finish: Return cooked cauliflower to skillet. Toss everything together, season with remaining salt and pepper, and add optional spices or herbs. Cook 2–3 minutes to meld flavors.
- Serve: Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with parsley, thyme, or Parmesan if desired, and serve hot.
