Directions
Step 1: Prep the Steak
Pat steak cubes dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and black pepper. Drying the meat ensures a better sear.
Step 2: Heat the Skillet
Place a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add 1 tablespoon of butter.
Step 3: Sear the Steak
Add the steak cubes in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness. Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
Step 4: Make the Garlic Butter
Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant—be careful not to burn the garlic.
Step 5: Combine Steak and Butter
Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic butter sauce. Cook for an additional minute to let flavors meld.
Step 6: Serve
Remove from heat, garnish with fresh thyme or parsley if desired, and serve immediately.
