Frozen Oreo Ice Cream Dessert

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and crushed Oreo cookies. Stir until the mixture is evenly moistened and holds together when pressed.
  2. Press just over half of the Oreo crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch (23×33 cm) baking pan to form the crust. Place the pan in the freezer while you prepare the ice cream layer.
  3. Remove the ice cream from the freezer and allow it to soften for easier spreading. Stir every 5 minutes until it reaches a smooth, spreadable consistency.
  4. Spread the softened ice cream evenly over the frozen Oreo crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining Oreo crumbs over the top of the ice cream layer, pressing gently to adhere.
  6. Cover the pan tightly with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and return to the freezer. Freeze for several hours, or until the dessert is firm.
  7. Before serving, remove the dessert from the freezer and let it sit for 10–15 minutes to soften slightly for easier slicing.
  8. Drizzle each slice generously with hot fudge sauce, and serve immediately.
