Directions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up into small pieces. Drain excess fat.
- Add the taco seasoning and water to the skillet. Stir and simmer for 5 minutes, until the beef is coated and the liquid is mostly absorbed. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a large salad bowl, layer the chopped romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cheddar cheese, black olives, and red onion.
- Sprinkle the crushed Doritos over the top of the salad.
- Add the seasoned ground beef evenly over the salad.
- Top with sour cream and salsa, if desired. Serve immediately to maintain the Doritos’ crunch.
