Delicious Fried Egg Sandwich

Directions

  1. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and add butter or oil.
  2. Crack the eggs into the skillet. Cook until the whites are set but the yolks remain runny, or cook longer if you prefer fully cooked yolks. Season with salt and black pepper.
  3. While the eggs cook, toast the bread slices until golden brown.
  4. Place a slice of cheese on one piece of bread while it’s still warm so it melts slightly.
  5. Carefully place the fried eggs on top of the cheese.
  6. Add any optional toppings you like, then top with the second slice of bread.
  7. Press down gently, slice in half, and serve immediately while warm.
