Decadent Chocolate Brownies

Directions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. Melt the Butter:
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the sugar until well combined. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.
  3. Add Eggs and Vanilla:
Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and glossy.
  4. Combine Dry Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until fully incorporated. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Add Chocolate Chips (Optional):
Fold in chocolate chips for extra chocolatey bites.
  6. Bake the Brownies:
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Avoid overbaking for the fudgiest results.
  7. Cool and Slice:
Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares. For neat edges, chill in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes before cutting.
