Crazy Crust Pie

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add softened butter, milk, and egg to the dry ingredients. Beat with a hand mixer or whisk until smooth and fully combined.
  4. Grease a 9-inch pie plate with butter or non-stick spray.
  5. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pie plate.
  6. Spoon the fruit pie filling into the center of the batter, leaving about 1 inch of batter around the edges.
  7. Sprinkle extra sugar or cinnamon-sugar on top, if desired.
  8. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and fully set.
  9. Allow the pie to cool slightly before slicing and serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
