Classic Shrimp Po'boy Sandwich

Instructions:

Soak shrimp in buttermilk for 10 minutes.

In a bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Remove shrimp from buttermilk, letting excess drip off, then dredge in flour mixture.

Fry shrimp in batches for 2–3 minutes until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.

Mix remoulade sauce ingredients in a small bowl.

Spread sauce on hoagie rolls. Layer with lettuce, tomato, and fried shrimp.

Serve warm with chips or fries.
