Instructions
Method 1: Roasted Beef
- Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a roasting pan or line it with foil. - Season the Beef
Pat the beef roast dry with paper towels. Rub it with olive oil, then season evenly with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and rosemary. - Prepare for Roasting
Place the roast in the roasting pan with the fat side facing up so it bastes the meat as it cooks. - Roast the Beef
Roast for 45–60 minutes for medium doneness, depending on thickness. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy:
- 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare
- 140°F (60°C) for medium
- Rest the Meat
Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing. This helps retain the juices.
Method 2: Grilled Steak
- Preheat the Grill
Heat the grill to high heat (about 450°F / 230°C). - Season the Steak
Rub both sides of the steaks with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. - Grill the Steak
Place the steaks on the hot grill and cook for 4–5 minutes per side for medium-rare, depending on thickness. - Add Butter and Garlic
During the last minute of cooking, place a small piece of butter and smashed garlic on top of the steak for extra flavor. - Rest Before Serving
Transfer the steaks to a plate and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing or serving.
