Chocolate Biscuit

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F) and line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
  2. In a bowl, beat the egg, sugar, and room-temperature margarine or butter using a mixer until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gradually add the milk to the mixture and continue mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until a smooth batter forms.
  5. Transfer the batter into a piping bag. Squeeze the mixture onto the prepared baking tray in any shape you like—the biscuits will spread slightly during baking.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 minutes until firm to the touch. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
  7. Once cooled, spread or pipe whipped cream between two biscuits to create a sandwich.
  8. Drizzle or spread the melted chocolate over the top of the biscuits for a decadent finish.
  9. Serve immediately or store as instructed below.
