Chicken Nuggets

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 390°F (200°C) and place a rack on a baking sheet to keep nuggets warm and crisp while cooking batches.
  2. Cut the chicken breasts into small, even pieces (about bite-sized) to ensure even cooking.
  3. Set up a breading station with three bowls: flour in the first, beaten eggs in the second, and breadcrumbs mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in the third.
  4. Coat each chicken piece first in flour, then in beaten eggs, and finally in the seasoned breadcrumbs, pressing lightly to adhere.
  5. Heat enough vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat to partially submerge the nuggets. Fry the chicken in batches, avoiding overcrowding. Cook each side 2–3 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Transfer fried nuggets to the preheated oven on the rack for 5–7 minutes to finish cooking inside and stay crispy.
  7. Serve hot with ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce, or your favorite dipping sauce. Pair with French fries, a salad, or vegetables for a complete meal.
