Instructions
Stovetop Version:
- In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, brown the meat. Drain excess grease.
- Add taco seasoning, undrained tomatoes, green chilies, tomato paste, beef broth, and chopped peppers; stir to combine.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer uncovered for ~20 minutes, until the tomato liquid thickens.
- Just before serving, stir in cream cheese and cream until melted and smooth.
Slow Cooker Version:
- Brown the meat as directed, drain excess grease, and transfer to a slow cooker.
- Add taco seasoning, undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, green chilies, and peppers; stir well.
- Cook on low for 6–8 hours.
- Stir in cream cheese and cream just before serving until fully combined.
