Directions
- Heat the olive oil and butter together in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the butter has melted and starts to foam slightly, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the chicken strips to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and dried oregano. Stir well so the chicken is evenly coated with the garlic butter and spices.
- Cook the chicken for 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fully cooked and lightly golden on the outside. The chicken should be juicy and tender, not dry.
- Reduce the heat to low and sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the chicken. Cover the skillet for 1–2 minutes, just until the cheese melts into a gooey, creamy layer.
- While the cheese melts, warm the tortillas in a dry pan or microwave so they’re soft and easy to wrap.
- In a small bowl, mix sour cream (or yogurt), mayonnaise, and lemon juice if using. This adds a fresh, creamy contrast to the rich filling.
- Spoon the cheesy garlic chicken mixture down the center of each tortilla. Drizzle lightly with the sauce if desired.
- Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll tightly into a wrap. Serve immediately while warm and cheesy.
