Cajun Shrimp and Steak Feast

Directions

Step 1: Season the Steak

In a medium bowl, toss the steak strips with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until well coated. Let sit for a few minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.

Step 2: Cook the Steak

Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add the steak strips and cook for 3–4 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside, keeping them warm.

Step 3: Season the Shrimp

In a separate bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, minced garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Make sure each shrimp is evenly coated.

Step 4: Cook the Shrimp

In the same skillet used for the steak, add a little more olive oil if needed. Cook the shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side, until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat immediately to prevent overcooking.

Step 5: Assemble the Feast

Plate the cooked steak and shrimp together on a large platter or individual plates. Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges for an added burst of flavor.

Step 6: Optional Sides

Serve the feast with your choice of steamed rice, garlic bread, or roasted vegetables to round out the meal. The sides complement the Cajun spices beautifully and make it a complete, satisfying dinner.

Tips & Variations

  • Steak Options: Ribeye offers more marbling and flavor, while sirloin is leaner but still tender.
