Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Beef

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Cook until fully browned, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Step 2: Fry the Eggs

In the same skillet, gently fry the eggs sunny-side-up or to your preferred doneness. Keep the yolks slightly runny for a rich, creamy texture that complements the sandwich perfectly.

Step 3: Assemble the Sandwich

Butter one side of each bread slice. On the unbuttered side of the first slice, layer a slice of cheddar cheese, the cooked beef, tomato slices, and the fried egg. Top with the second slice of cheese and the second bread slice, buttered side facing out.

Step 4: Grill the Sandwich

Place the sandwich in a skillet or sandwich press over medium heat. Cook until the bread is golden brown on both sides and the cheese is melted, about 3–4 minutes per side. Press gently with a spatula for even grilling.

Step 5: Serve
