Beer Crockpot Chicken

Directions

  1. Place the chicken pieces or whole chicken into your crockpot.
  2. Pour the beer over the chicken, ensuring it is evenly coated.
  3. Sprinkle the garlic powder, basil, paprika, black pepper, salt, and any optional spices over the chicken.
  4. Cover the crockpot with the lid and set it to cook:
    • If using frozen chicken, cook on high for 4–5 hours or low for 8–10 hours.
    • If using fresh chicken, cook on high for 3–4 hours or low for 7–8 hours.
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, check the chicken for tenderness. The meat should pull apart easily with a fork and have an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. Optional: remove the chicken and reduce the sauce on high heat for 10–15 minutes if you prefer a thicker, more concentrated flavor.
  7. Serve hot, spooning the flavorful beer-infused sauce over the chicken.
