Ingredients

→ Main

  • 01 450 g ground beef
  • 02 6 slices beef bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 03 120 g shredded cheddar cheese
  • 04 24 frozen tater tots
  • 05 120 g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 06 75 g diced onions

→ Sauce

  • 07 60 ml ketchup
  • 08 60 ml mayonnaise
  • 09 60 ml mustard

→ Seasoning

  • 10 Salt, to taste
  • 11 Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

Step 01

Preheat oven to 220°C. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat. Stir in crumbled beef bacon, diced onions, ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard. Season with salt and black pepper. Mix thoroughly and remove from heat.

Step 02

Using a small knife or spoon, hollow out each tater tot to create a cone shape. Carefully fill each cone with the prepared beef bacon cheeseburger mixture. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the filled cones.

Step 03

Arrange the stuffed tater tot cones on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, or until tater tots are golden and cheddar cheese is melted.

Step 04

In a separate bowl, mix shredded mozzarella cheese with any remaining beef bacon cheeseburger mixture. Once cones are baked, remove from oven and top each with a generous amount of the mozzarella mixture.

Step 05

Return cones to oven and bake an additional 5–10 minutes, or until cheese topping is bubbly and golden brown. Serve hot for maximum gooey enjoyment.

Notes

  1. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in oven at 190°C for 8–10 minutes to restore crispiness.
  2. For best results, use freshly shredded mozzarella cheese to achieve an optimal cheese volcano effect.
  3. Stuffed tater tot cones can be assembled up to 4 hours in advance and baked from cold, adding 2–3 minutes to the baking time.
  4. Unbaked cones may be frozen for up to 2 months; bake directly from frozen, increasing bake time by 5–8 minutes.
