Air Fryer Honey Butter Garlic Chicken Tenders

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken (Optional but Recommended)
Place chicken in buttermilk and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight for extra tenderness.
  2. Prepare the Breading Station
In one bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
In another bowl, add breadcrumbs or crushed cornflakes.
  3. Bread the Chicken
Remove chicken from marinade and let excess drip off.
Coat in flour mixture, then press into breadcrumbs until fully covered.
  4. Preheat the Air Fryer
Preheat to 375°F (190°C). Spray the basket lightly with cooking spray.
  5. Air Fry
Arrange tenders in a single layer. Lightly spray tops with oil.
Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Make the Sauce
Melt butter in a small saucepan. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in honey, soy sauce (if using), and chili flakes. Simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Toss or Drizzle
Toss hot tenders in sauce or drizzle over the top before serving.
