Ingredients

  • 2 kg (4.4 lbs) all-purpose flour
  • 2 level tablespoons (14 g) dry yeast
  • 4 tablespoons (60 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 tablespoons (60 g) additional butter
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon (18 g) salt
  • 4 tablespoons (50 g) sugar
  • 2–3 cups (480–720 ml) warm milk, as needed

Optional toppings/fillings:
