Directions
- Prepare the Steaks
Bring steaks to room temperature for 20β30 minutes before cooking. Pat dry and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides. - Sear the Steak
Heat olive oil or butter in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add steaks and sear for about 3β4 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust timing for desired doneness). Add smashed garlic and herbs to the pan and baste the steaks with melted butter during the last minute of cooking. - Rest the Meat
Transfer steaks to a plate and let rest for 5 minutes. This allows juices to redistribute for maximum tenderness. - Cook the Garlic Shrimp
In the same skillet, reduce heat slightly and melt butter. Add minced garlic and sautΓ© for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes if using. Cook 1β2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. - Finish the Shrimp
Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the shrimp and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Toss gently to coat in the garlic butter sauce. - Combine & Serve
Slice the steak and plate alongside the garlic shrimp. Spoon any remaining pan sauce over the top for extra flavor.
