Smothered Pork Chops in Onion Gravy Recipe

Instructions:

Season pork chops generously with salt and pepper.

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear pork chops 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté red onion and garlic until softened and fragrant.

Stir in flour and cook 1 minute. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream until smooth.

Return pork chops to skillet, spoon gravy over them. Cover and simmer 10-12 minutes until chops are cooked and gravy thickens.

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
