A quick and easy skillet meal featuring tender potatoes, fresh cabbage, and smoky kielbasa, perfect for a hearty dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb kielbasa, sliced into rounds
  • 4 cups potatoes, cubed
  • 3 cups cabbage, chopped
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter or olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Fresh parsley or dill for garnish

Instructions

Prepare Ingredients: Slice the kielbasa, cube the potatoes, chop the cabbage, slice the onion, and mince the garlic.

Cook Kielbasa: Heat butter or olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the kielbasa slices and cook until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside.

Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the onion and garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent. Add the potatoes and cook for about 10 minutes, until they start to soften.

Add Cabbage: Stir in the chopped cabbage, season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook until the cabbage is tender and the potatoes are fully cooked, about 10 more minutes.

Combine and Serve: Return the kielbasa to the skillet and mix everything together. Cook for a few more minutes to heat through. Garnish with fresh parsley or dill and serve hot.

Notes

For a creamier dish, add a splash of heavy cream or sour cream at the end.

Use a cast-iron skillet for the best browning and flavor development.
