Philly Steak Cheese Fries

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb frozen French fries
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 lb thinly sliced beef steak
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup cheese whiz optional
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Directions:

  1. Bake French fries according to package instructions until crispy and golden.
  2. While fries are baking, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the steak slices, seasoned with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms. Sauté until vegetables are tender.
  4. Add the cooked steak back to the skillet with the vegetables and stir to combine.
  5. Once fries are done, place them on a serving dish. Top with the steak and vegetable mixture.
  6. Sprinkle shredded provolone cheese over the top and dollop with cheese whiz if using.
  7. Place under the broiler for a few minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
