Preparation Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the orange gelatin and instant vanilla pudding mix. Stir well to evenly distribute both powders.
  2. Add the hot water and whisk vigorously until the gelatin and pudding are completely dissolved and smooth.
  3. Pour in the cold water and mix again until fully combined. This step helps cool the mixture slightly.
  4. Let the mixture rest for about 2 minutes. This is important to prevent the whipped topping from melting.
  5. Gently fold in the whipped topping using a spatula until the mixture becomes creamy and smooth, resembling a classic creamsicle texture.
  6. Carefully add the drained mandarin oranges and gently stir to distribute them evenly throughout the salad.
  7. Add the mini marshmallows and fold gently, being careful not to deflate the mixture.
  8. Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl or individual dessert cups.
  9. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until chilled and set.
