Olive Cheese Bread

Directions

  1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Prepare the Bread: Slice the French baguette or loaf lengthwise, creating two long halves. Place them cut-side up on the baking sheet.
  3. Mix the Filling: In a medium mixing bowl, combine mozzarella, cheddar, sliced black olives, green onions, mayonnaise, softened butter, minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Stir until fully combined into a uniform mixture.
  4. Assemble the Bread: Spread the cheese and olive mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread, making sure every section is covered for a consistent melt.
  5. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden on top, and the bread edges are toasted.
  6. Cool & Slice: Remove from the oven and allow the bread to cool for 3–5 minutes. Slice into individual servings using a serrated knife.
  7. Serve: Serve warm for the best flavor and texture.
