Instructions
- Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef or sausage with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried oregano. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the meat into burger patties, sized to fit your hamburger buns.
- In a small saucepan, combine the tomato sauce, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Warm over low heat, stirring occasionally.
- Cook the burger patties on the grill or stovetop until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the patties cook, toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
- When the burgers are nearly done, spoon a generous amount of pizza sauce on each patty.
- Top each patty with a slice or shredded mozzarella cheese. Cover to allow the cheese to melt and the sauce to warm through.
- Assemble the pizza burgers by placing the cheesy patty on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Add your favorite pizza toppings and place the top bun to complete.
- Serve hot and enjoy the gooey, flavorful combination of pizza and burger in every bite.
