Preparation Method
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground turkey, breaking it apart as it browns.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant and the turkey is fully cooked, about 7–10 minutes.
- Transfer the turkey mixture to a slow cooker, scraping in any flavorful browned bits from the skillet.
- Add the chopped bell peppers, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning, then stir well to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
- Stir in the cooked white rice about 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs or grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
