Ground Turkey and Bell Peppers Comfort Dish

Preparation Method

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground turkey, breaking it apart as it browns.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant and the turkey is fully cooked, about 7–10 minutes.
  3. Transfer the turkey mixture to a slow cooker, scraping in any flavorful browned bits from the skillet.
  4. Add the chopped bell peppers, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth.
  5. Season with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning, then stir well to combine.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
  7. Stir in the cooked white rice about 30 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs or grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
