Fried King Crab Legs with Garlic Butter
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs King Crab Legs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions:
- Thaw the king crab legs if they’re frozen, then pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a shallow dish, combine the flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- In another shallow dish, beat the eggs.
- Dip each crab leg into the beaten eggs, then coat thoroughly with the flour mixture. Shake off any excess flour.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully place the coated crab legs into the hot oil, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the skillet. Fry the crab legs for about 3-4 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant and lightly golden. Stir in the chopped parsley.
- Arrange the fried crab legs on a serving platter and drizzle with the garlic butter sauce.
- Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the crab legs.
