Fondant Brownies

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Lightly grease a square baking pan and set it aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Mix well until the texture looks smooth and slightly creamy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. This helps distribute the dry ingredients evenly.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until a smooth, homogeneous batter forms. Avoid overmixing to keep the brownies soft and fudgy.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly with a spatula.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the top looks set but the center is still slightly soft for a fondant texture.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow the brownies to cool in the pan before cutting into squares.
