Instructions:
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the ham slices for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the brewed coffee and water (or chicken stock). Scrape up any browned bits from the pan. Let the gravy simmer for 2–3 minutes. Stir in
butter for a richer flavor, if desired.
Pour the red-eye gravy over the ham slices and serve hot.
Serve with biscuits or grits for an authentic Southern meal!
