Chocolate Cake Recipe

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla together until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
  3. Add the oil and milk, then mix well to combine.
  4. Sift in the cocoa powder and stir until smooth and evenly blended.
  5. Finally, add the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix gently until you have a smooth batter — don’t overmix.
  6. Grease a loaf pan (or line it with parchment paper).
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35–40 minutes.
    Tip: Insert a knife or toothpick in the center — if it comes out clean, your cake is done.
  8. Let it cool completely before serving.

    Optional:

    • Top with melted chocolate for a rich finish.
    • Or simply dust with cocoa powder or powdered sugar for a classic touch.

Extra Tips

  • For a moister cake, add 2 tbsp of yogurt or 1 tbsp of melted butter to the batter.
  • You can also mix in chocolate chips or a handful of crushed nuts for texture.
  • This recipe works great for cupcakes too — just reduce the baking time to 20–25 minutes.
