Instructions
- Preheat a grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until evenly combined—avoid over-mixing.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into 1-inch thick patties. Press a slight indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb for even cooking.
- Grill or cook the patties for 4–5 minutes per side, or until they reach your preferred doneness. Toast the buns for 1–2 minutes if desired.
- In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty to melt slightly.
- Assemble the burgers: Layer lettuce on the bottom bun, add the patty with melted cheese, then tomato, pickles, and condiments. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately while hot and enjoy your delicious homemade beef cheeseburgers!
