Introduction

This Italian Meatloaf is a hearty and flavorful dinner that’s sure to become a family favorite. Ground beef and pork are combined with aromatic onions, garlic, and Italian seasonings, then baked to perfection and topped with rich marinara sauce and melted mozzarella. Ingredients

• 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml / 0.5 fl oz)
• 1 cup finely diced onions (150 g / 5.3 oz)
• 1 tablespoon minced garlic (15 g / 0.5 oz)
• 1½ pounds ground beef (680 g)
• ½ pound ground pork (225 g)
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning (4 g)
• 1½ teaspoons kosher salt (8 g)
• Fresh black pepper, to taste
• 1 tablespoon tomato paste (15 g / 0.5 oz)
• ½ cup breadcrumbs (50 g / 1.8 oz)
• ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (25 g / 0.9 oz)
• ½ cup marinara sauce (120 ml / 4 fl oz)
• 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (100 g / 3.5 oz)
• Fresh chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)
